Job summary

Huntington in the United States is seeking a Business Banking Underwriter III to assess credit worthiness and policy compliance for commercial loans up to $4MM. The role requires underwriting authority up to $3MM and mentoring support for junior staff.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s degree with 5+ years in centralized underwriting, excellent communication, and strong Microsoft Office skills. Exempt, office-based with potential flexible work arrangements.

Qualifications

• Underwrite commercial loans with complex credit structures and customer exposure up to $4MM.
• Review financial data and credit information to decide on risk and policy compliance.
• Demonstrate confidence and professionalism when interacting with all levels of the organization.
• Work independently on multiple tasks while maintaining quality and service standards.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an individual pipeline of Business Banking work to support production.
• Underwrite loans with single-approval authority up to $3MM and escalate as needed.
• Mentor and train new hires and support UW II/UWI job families as needed.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure accurate documentation and timely decisions.
