Job summary

Pathway Partners LLC is looking for an experienced Senior Business and Data Analyst to support a client's application. The client requires a candidate with experience in the areas of database design, architecture, and development, including base definition, structure, documentation, long-range requirements, operational guidelines, and protection.

The work is located in NYC on a hybrid basis, requiring 3 days in office and 2 days remote.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in business and data analysis.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft tech stack.
• Experience with JIRA and Confluence.
• Experience with data modelling and business management principles.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and document current systems and processes and propose improvements.
• Write user stories using JIRA and Confluence.
• Evaluate business processes and identify areas for improvement.
• Lead reviews of business processes and optimization strategies.
• Coordinate with stakeholders and develop deliverable functionality.

Job description

Pathway Partners LLC is looking for an experienced Senior Business and Data Analyst to support a client's application. The client requires a candidate with experience in the areas of database design, architecture, and development, including base definition, structure, documentation, long-range requirements, operational guidelines, and protection.

Work Requirements

The work is located in NYC and is on a hybrid basis. The client would require 3 days in office and 2 days remote. Candidates must live in commuting distance from NYC. This position typically requires 7-hour workdays and would have 12 holidays per year, in addition to vacation and sick leave. Pathway provides health insurance to full-time workers.

Role Description

In the role, the ideal candidate would:

• Ensure accuracy and completeness of data in master files and various support tools, such as base dictionaries.
• Establish and maintain security and integrity controls. Formulates and monitors policies, procedures and standards relating to database management.
• Propose and implement enhancements that will improve the performance and reliability of various systems that across the client’s program areas.

Tasks & Duties

• Analyze and document current systems and processes as currently implemented. Make recommendations for improvements based on client feedback. Work directly with business stakeholders, clients, designers, other developers, and engineers to coordinate the building of applications to specifications and on time. Develop user stories and break down requirements into deliverable functionality. Review the requirements with the stakeholders for their approval.
• Write user stories according to the business needs using JIRA and confluence
• Evaluate business processes, anticipating requirements and uncovering areas for improvement.
• Lead ongoing reviews of business processes and developing optimization strategies
• Conduct meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings.
• Effectively communicating your insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management
• Gather critical information from meetings with various stakeholders and produce useful reports.
• Ensure solutions meet business needs and requirements
• Perform user acceptance testing.
• Serve as a liaison between stakeholders and users.
• Demonstrate excellent research and analytical skills.
• Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of data modelling techniques.
• Demonstrate knowledge of relevant business management principles.
• Demonstrate an excellent attention to detail
• Demonstrate the ability to turn complex concepts into simple language.
• Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Have a working knowledge of word processing tools and other relevant software packages.

RequiredSkills

A minimum of 4 years of experience with the following skill sets:

• Extensive business and data analysis
• Solid understanding of Microsoft technologies
• JIRA, Confluence, Balsamiq and MS Visio
• AWS, Quality Assurance and Automation
• Skill: Oracle 9i, 10g, 11g. Sybase 12.5, SQL Server 2000/2012, DB2 UDB
