Job summary

7Th Sky Tech is seeking an experienced Business Analyst / Scrum Master for a full-time hybrid role in Palo Alto, CA. The position combines strong analysis with Agile leadership to bridge business stakeholders and technical teams.

You will gather and document requirements, facilitate ceremonies, manage backlogs, and support planning and delivery while ensuring clear communication across product owners, developers, and QA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or IT related field.
• 5+ years of experience as Business Analyst, Scrum Master, or BA/SM role.
• Strong understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
• Experience with cross-functional software development teams.
• Strong requirements gathering and documentation skills.
• Experience writing user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Excellent communication, presentation, facilitation, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with backlog management and sprint planning.
• Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Work with stakeholders, Product Owners, and tech teams to understand needs.
• Gather, analyze, document, and validate requirements.
• Create BRDs, FRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and use cases.
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies: Daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives, backlog refinement.
• Manage and prioritize the product/project backlog with Product Owners.
• Ensure user stories are clearly defined and ready for development.
• Identify dependencies, risks, issues, blockers; coordinate resolutions.
• Track sprint progress, velocity, deliverables, milestones.
• Act as a bridge between business and development teams.
• Support backlog prioritization and release planning.
• Translate business requirements into technical requirements for devs.
• Coordinate with QA to cover tests and acceptance criteria.
• Monitor scope, timelines, and deliverables; report progress to stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and Agile best practices.
• Drive continuous delivery improvements through retrospectives and metrics.
