Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst with deep expertise in Oracle Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) Enterprise Data Management Cloud Service (EDMCS) to support enterprise finance transformation initiatives within a global organization.

The ideal candidate will possess a blend of business analysis, financial systems, and technical integration expertise. This role will partner with finance, business, and technology stakeholders to analyze complex requirements, design scalable EDMCS solutions, and support metadata governance, integration, and automation initiatives.

The successful candidate will play a key role in enhancing enterprise data governance, improving reporting accuracy, supporting metadata synchronization across systems, and implementing EDMCS integration solutions leveraging scripting and automation technologies.

This position follows a hybrid work model and operates during standard day‑shift business hours.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead discovery workshops with finance, accounting, operations, and technology stakeholders to gather and document business and technical requirements.
• Translate business needs into scalable Oracle EDMCS solution designs that enhance data governance, reporting consistency, and operational efficiency.
• Design and maintain EDMCS dimensions, hierarchies, properties, viewpoints, subscriptions, and workflow processes.
• Analyze existing metadata structures, governance frameworks, and EPM processes to identify optimization opportunities.
• Support and maintain integrations between EDMCS and upstream/downstream enterprise applications.
• Develop, enhance, and maintain automation scripts using Python and Shell Scripting to support metadata loads, hierarchy synchronization, validation activities, and operational processes.
• Collaborate with technical teams to implement and support API-based and file-based integrations.
• Troubleshoot EDMCS integration issues and coordinate resolution with business and technical teams.
• Create detailed business requirements documents (BRDs), functional specifications, process flows, test plans, and solution design documentation.
• Facilitate design reviews and stakeholder walkthroughs to gain alignment on proposed solutions and business processes.
• Coordinate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test planning, scenario creation, execution support, defect tracking, and resolution.
• Develop and maintain documentation for governance processes, validation rules, workflow configurations, and operational procedures.
• Partner with finance, reporting, analytics, and master data teams to ensure consistent enterprise data standards.
• Support incident, change, and release management activities by conducting business impact assessments and prioritizing enhancement requests.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives through process analysis, system optimization, user feedback, and emerging business requirements.
• Assist with change management, training, and adoption activities.
• Mentor junior analysts and promote best practices for EDMCS solution delivery and enterprise data governance.

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Functional Consultant, or Techno‑Functional Consultant in enterprise environments.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Oracle EPM EDMCS, including:
• Metadata Management
• Dimension Management
• Hierarchy Management
• Property Management
• Viewpoints and Subscriptions
• Workflow‑Driven Data Governance
• Experience supporting EDMCS integrations and metadata synchronization across enterprise systems.
• Working knowledge of Python and Shell Scripting for automation, data processing, validation, and operational support.
• Experience with Oracle EPM Cloud integrations, APIs, automation tools, or related technologies.
• Strong understanding of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, consolidation, and management reporting processes.
• Proven experience conducting business process analysis, requirements elicitation, gap analysis, and solution design.
• Experience creating BRDs, functional specifications, test plans, process documentation, and training materials.
• Strong understanding of master data management and data governance principles.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with finance, accounting, business, and technology teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Oracle EPM Planning, FCCS, EPBCS, ARCS, Narrative Reporting, or other Oracle EPM products.
• Experience with REST APIs, EPM Automate, and automation frameworks.
• Knowledge of financial close and consolidation processes.
• Experience working within large global organizations supporting finance transformation initiatives.
