As a Senior Business Analyst - Medicaid at Gainwell, you will leverage your skills to help our clients improve the health and well-being of their members, focusing on vulnerable communities. You will work closely with project managers and state officials to write requirements for change requests. Here are the details of this position:

Your role in our mission

Contribute to ensuring Gainwell meets our clients’ objectives in key areas:

• Coordinate a business analyst team’s duties on IT projects, providing guidance and support to newer team members
• Act as a bridge between clients, project managers, and technical staff to define, document, and share business requirements and impacts
• Collaborate with clients to develop business specifications at project initiation
• Analyze, plan, design, document, and recommend improvements to business processes supporting client technology goals
• Verify that all requirements are met through approval and validation of test results
• Utilize basic analytical or relational database software such as Excel or SQL to quantify work impact

What we're looking for

• 6+ years of Business Analyst experience in healthcare, with 3+ years in Medicaid and Medicare preferred
• Experience with Third Party Liability and Managed Care is a plus
• Knowledge of computer programming concepts like configuration, development, and batch processing
• Advanced skills in analytical software such as Microsoft Excel or SQL, and requirement-mapping tools like ALM
• Strong client-facing experience with the ability to translate client needs into actionable objectives
• Excellent analytical and business process re-engineering skills
• Effective communication skills to present to business leaders, clients, and technical teams
• Leadership qualities that motivate others and simplify complex technical ideas
