Job summary

City Brewery, based in La Crosse, WI, seeks a Senior Business Analyst to bridge plant operations, supply chain, finance, and IT. You will lead discovery, define requirements, and evaluate solutions across multiple sites in a manufacturing environment.

You will mentor analysts, manage scope and risks, and partner with IT, data, and cybersecurity teams to ensure compliant, value-driving deployments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of experience as a business analyst in IT, operations, or supply chain.
• Strong knowledge of IIBA/BABOK standards and techniques (requirements elicitation, modeling, documentation).
• Experience supporting enterprise application implementations (ERP, WMS, MES, CMMS, or similar).
• Experience reviewing vendor deliverables, SOWs, and project plans.
• Knowledge of PMI/PMBOK, agile, or hybrid practices; some project management exposure.
• Hands-on Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, Visio, Smartsheet experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, facilitation, and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Certifications such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, CCBA; PMP/CAPM or Agile/Scrum a plus.

Responsibilities

• Elicit, analyze, and document business needs through workshops, interviews, site visits, and process observation.
• Develop and maintain business requirements, functional specs, use cases, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Maintain requirements traceability from initial need through design, testing, and deployment.
• Analyze, prioritize, and manage changes to requirements; communicate trade-offs.
• Mentor junior analysts and business partners on BA practices.
• Map current-state and future-state processes; identify gaps and improvements.
• Define data, reporting, and integration requirements with Data/Applications teams.
• Build business cases, cost-benefit analyses, and evaluation criteria for tech investments.
• Review vendor deliverables to ensure alignment with standards and contracts.
• Plan and facilitate user acceptance testing; support go-live readiness.
• Measure benefits realized post go-live.
