Competenze

• 5+ years of Business Analyst, Analytics, BI, or Data Analytics experience.
• Experience gathering requirements and partnering with AI/engineering teams on Generative AI/LLM initiatives.
• Strong experience supporting payments-related initiatives within Banking, FinTech, or card services.
• Hands-on SQL experience with complex querying, reporting and data analysis.

Job Description

A Financial Services client is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join their team! This individual will partner with stakeholders across payments, operations, customer strategy, and technology teams to gather requirements, analyze data, and deliver actionable business insights. Responsibilities include developing complex SQL queries, leveraging Python for analytics and automation, building production-grade Power BI dashboards, and utilizing Azure OpenAI and Azure Databricks to support enterprise reporting and strategic initiatives. The Senior Business Analyst will work closely with Data Engineers, AI Engineers, and business leaders to identify opportunities for intelligent automation, evaluate and prioritize Generative AI and LLM use cases, define business and functional requirements for AI-powered solutions, and measure the impact of AI initiatives across the organization. This individual will serve as a bridge between business and technical teams, translating business challenges into scalable analytics, reporting, and AI-driven solutions that improve operational efficiency, customer experience, and decision-making. This is a full-time permanent opportunity offering a base salary of $130,000-$225,000 plus bonus and potential equity. The position can sit in Pasadena, CA, Palo Alto, CA, Dallas, TX, or New York, NY and requires a hybrid schedule with 4 days onsite per week.

Skills and Requirements

• 5+ years of Business Analyst, Analytics, Business Intelligence, or Data Analytics experience
• Experience gathering requirements, evaluating use cases, and partnering with AI, Data Science, or Engineering teams on Generative AI, LLM, Copilot, or intelligent automation initiatives
• Strong experience supporting payments-related initiatives within Banking, Financial Services, FinTech, Credit Card, Merchant Services, or Treasury environments
• 5+ years of hands-on SQL experience, including complex querying, reporting, and data analysis
• 5+ years of Python experience for analytics, reporting, automation, or data manipulation
• Hands-on experience developing and maintaining production-grade Power BI dashboards, KPI reporting, and executive-facing reporting solutions
• Experience working with Azure OpenAI, Azure Databricks, and large-scale enterprise data environments
• Experience supporting analytical projects related to customer analytics, operational analytics, business performance, or strategic decision-making
• Banking, Financial Services, FinTech, payments, lending, or card services industry experience
• Experience presenting findings and recommendations to business stakeholders and leadership teams
• Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills
• Stable career progression and demonstrated tenure
• Experience supporting payments operations, ACH, wire transfers, card products, treasury management, or digital payments initiatives
• Experience within commercial banking, retail banking, credit card businesses, or payment service providers
• Experience with Azure cloud technologies beyond Databricks
• Experience creating executive-level dashboards and KPI reporting frameworks
• Experience supporting customer segmentation, acquisition, retention, or profitability analysis
• Financial planning, forecasting, or risk analytics experience
• Experience operating within highly regulated environments
