Job summary

Insurity is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join our India office to translate regulatory and customer needs into well-defined requirements and documentation. The role supports increasingly complex Forms initiatives and requires strong US P&C Insurance experience, clear communication, and the ability to mentor other team members.

The ideal candidate will lead requirements analysis, document business and functional requirements, and collaborate with stakeholders in Agile or Waterfall

Qualifications

• 4 years of business analysis experience and 2–3 years of industry experience or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field; equivalent work experience may be considered.
• US P&C Insurance experience, or completion of required Insurity Academy courses within three months.
• Experience engaging with technical and business stakeholders in Agile and/or Waterfall environments.
• Strong understanding of BA practices, including process analysis, design, and management; change management; meeting facilitation and ability to present clearly.
• Highly proficient analytical and critical-thinking skills, written and oral communication, time management, prioritization, organization, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Self-starter who thrives in a collaborative and evolving environment.
• Strong understanding of writing SQL queries and database design concepts.
• Ability to complete related insurance certification(s) within two years, as applicable.
• Ability to travel approximately 0–25% as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead requirements analysis for Forms changes, including business rules, use cases, impact assessments, and support for testing and customer validation.
• Independently develop, analyze, and document requirements for increasingly complex efforts with minimal oversight.
• Develop customer-focused documentation for software solutions, including wireframes and use cases.
• Perform and support testing and training activities.
• Perform and coordinate work estimation.
• Support automation and quality improvements.
• Participate in system design and configuration activities.
• Act as a subject matter expert in the assigned functional area.
• Provide mentorship to team members and strengthen BA practices through collaboration.
• Stay current on industry trends and best practices through relevant literature.

The ideal candidate brings strong business analysis and US P&C Insurance experience, communicates clearly, and can serve as a subject matter expert while mentoring other team members.

What Our Senior Business Analyst Will Do

• Lead requirements analysis for Forms changes, including business rules, use cases, impact assessments, and support for testing and customer validation.
• Independently develop, analyze, and document requirements including business, functional, and non-functional requirements for increasingly complex efforts, with minimal oversight and direction.

Who We’re Looking For

• Recommended: Four years of business analysis experience and two to three years of industry experience, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Recommended: Bachelor’s degree in a related field; equivalent work experience may be considered.
• US P&C Insurance industry experience, or completion of required Insurity Academy courses within three months.
• Experience engaging with technical and business stakeholders in Agile and/or Waterfall environments
• Strong understanding of business analysis practices, including process analysis, design, and management; change management; meeting facilitation and the ability to present information clearly and articulately.
• Highly proficient analytical and critical-thinking skills, written and oral communication, time management, prioritization, organization, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Self-starter who thrives in a collaborative and evolving environment
• Strong understanding of writing SQL queries and database design concepts
• Nice to have: Related insurance certifications, such as CPCU, CBAP, AINS or a line-of-business-specific certification.
• Ability to complete related insurance certification(s) within two years, as applicable.
• Ability to travel approximately 0–25% as needed.
