Qualifications

• 7+ years experience as a Business Analyst, including 3–6 years on complex, large-scale modernization projects.
• 7+ years experience soliciting, documenting and validating business requirements.
• 7+ years experience with stakeholder engagement, business process transformation and change management.
• 7+ years data migration experience supporting data mapping, conversion, validation, reconciliation, and migration readiness.
• 7+ years experience preparing test strategies and plans, writing and executing test cases and scripts, and monitoring test plan execution.
• 2+ years recent successful projects within the last two years demonstrating Senior Business Analyst experience.
• Nice to Have: 3+ years Mainframe systems experience or knowledge.
• Professional certifications in business analysis or related fields

Senior Business Analyst

We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst to support a strategic business modernization initiative within a public sector organization. This role will lead the transition of legacy mainframe systems and business operations to a unified modern platform. The Senior Business Analyst will take a leadership role in validating business processes and requirements, facilitating stakeholder engagement, and ensuring alignment between existing business functions and the new solution while coordinating testing, data migration, and organizational readiness activities.

This position requires someone who can lead requirements gathering, business process mapping, and gap analysis to support a large-scale application modernization and business transformation initiative. The role encompasses planning and facilitating requirements validation workshops, documenting business processes, configuring system settings according to client needs, guiding data cleansing and conversion activities, writing and executing test cases, and supporting user acceptance testing. The Senior Business Analyst will work closely with business representatives and change management teams to develop and implement process change activities, create standard project artifacts including workflows, use cases, requirements documents, fit-gap analysis and business process models, and support training and organizational readiness. The work involves collaboration across multiple departments and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery through go-live readiness.

• Post-secondary education in business, computer science or a related field from a recognized institution
• 7+ years - experience as a Business Analyst, including 3 to 6 years on complex, large-scale modernization projects
• 7+ years -Experience soliciting, documenting and validating business requirements
• 7+ years -Experience with stakeholder engagement, business process transformation and change management, including strong written and oral communication skills
• 7+ years -Data migration experience supporting data mapping, data conversion, data validation, reconciliation and migration readiness activities
