D&G team is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join our team within a Research and Development (R&D) technical team supporting the Defense Logistics Agency’s efforts to improve logistics, supply-chain operations, data use, enterprise systems, and emerging technology capabilities. In this role, you will lead and supports complex, cross-functional projects that translate mission needs into actionable business, process, data, and technical requirements.

The Senior Business Analyst works closely with technical personnel, functional subject-matter experts, program managers, users, and senior leaders to analyze business problems; evaluate processes and systems; develop recommendations; and support the design, testing, implementation, and continuous improvement of R&D capabilities. The selected candidate maintains and expands technical proficiency in areas relevant to the organization’s mission, such as data analytics, automation, digital transformation, systems integration, artificial intelligence-enabled tools, and product delivery methods.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Serve as a project lead, integrated project team member, or senior analyst for assigned R&D efforts
• Plan, coordinate, track, and report project activities, milestones, deliverables, risks, issues, resource needs, and dependencies
• Facilitate meetings, working groups, requirements workshops, demonstrations, sprint reviews, and stakeholder engagements
• Coordinate activities among technical developers, data analysts, engineers, cybersecurity personnel, functional users, program managers, and other stakeholders
• Support development of project charters, integrated schedules, implementation plans, test plans, deployment plans, performance measures, and sustainment recommendations
• Prepare concise decision-ready briefings, read-a heads, executive summaries, status reports, and recommendations for senior leaders
• Conduct current-state and future-state business process analysis to identify inefficiencies, risks, capability gaps, duplicative effort, and opportunities for automation or modernization
• Develo p process maps, workflow diagrams, data-flow diagrams, business rules, decision logs, requirements traceability matrices, and other analytical products
• Assess the feasibility, expected benefits, constraints, dependencies, and operational impacts of proposed solutions
• Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in business administration, information systems, data analytics, supply-chain management, operations research, engineering, computer science, public administration, or a related field
• 5 years of relevant experience
• Experience in business analysis, program or project management, process improvement, information technology, logistics, supply-chain management, data analysis, systems implementation, or a related field
• Ability to:
• Analyze complex organizational, operational, business, or technical problems and develop practical recommendations
• Lead projects or workstreams involving multiple stakeholders, competing priorities, and defined timelines
• Gather, document, and manage business and technical requirements.
• Assess business processes, workflows, systems, data, and performance measures
• Communicate findings and recommendations effectively through written products, briefings, and facilitated discussions
• Work collaboratively with technical and nontechnical personnel in a mission-focused environment
• Exercise sound judgment, manage ambiguity, identify risks, and recommend courses of action for leadership consideration
• Learn and apply new technical concepts, tools, methods, and organizational processes in support of evolving mission requirements
• Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Cultural fit within a collaborative team environment
• May be required to obtain and maintain any required suitability, security, training, or certification requirements for the position
• Occasional travel, temporary duty, or participation in cross-organizational working groups may be required
• Must comply with applicable Department of War, DLA, organizational, security, records-management, privacy, and information-handling requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

Relevant professional certifications may include, but are not required:

• Possess a DoD 8570 IAT Level II and CE Certification for applicable cloud or be capable of obtaining certification.
• Project Management Professional (PMP)
• Agile, Scrum, or product-owner certifications
• Data analytics, cloud, cybersecurity, or enterprise-platform certifications
• Equivalent certifications may be listed and reviewed for acceptance
