Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst with strong EV charging and e-mobility domain expertise to bridge business requirements and technical implementation. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on knowledge of OCPP, OCPI, CPO/eMSP integrations, charging workflows, tariffs, CDRs, and roaming platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements for EV charging platforms and partner integrations.
- Serve as a domain expert for OCPP 1.6/2.0.1 and OCPI 2.1.1/2.2/2.2.1.
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications, API requirements, workflows, and data mappings.
- Work directly with CPOs, eMSPs, hardware vendors, roaming networks, and payment providers.
- Define requirements for charging sessions, tariffs, CDR reconciliation, token authorization, station availability, remote start/stop, and firmware management.
- Identify integration edge cases involving connectivity, offline/online transitions, smart charging, load balancing, and charger fault conditions.
- Collaborate with QA teams to define test scenarios and validate end-to-end integrations.
- Create BRDs, FRDs, API specifications, process flows, sequence diagrams, integration playbooks, and troubleshooting documentation.
- Support partner onboarding and integration activities.
- Work with Product Managers to prioritize requirements and backlog items.
- Track evolving standards such as OCPP 2.0.1, OCPI 2.2.1, ISO 15118, and OpenADR.
- Act as the liaison between business stakeholders, external partners, product teams, and engineering throughout the SDLC.
Required Skills
- 6–10 years of Business Analysis experience.
- 3+ years of direct EV charging/e-mobility experience is mandatory/preferred.
- Strong hands‑on knowledge of OCPP and OCPI.
- Experience working with CPOs, eMSPs, or roaming hubs such as Hubject/Gireve.
- Understanding of AC/DC charging, connectors, smart charging, and load management.
- Strong experience creating BRDs, FRDs, API specifications, process flows, and data-flow diagrams.
- REST/JSON API and webhook knowledge.
- Experience with Postman or similar API testing tools.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to work closely with engineering teams and understand technical integration requirements.
Preferred
- OpenADR or smart-grid integration.
- Automotive, energy, mobility, or IoT platform experience.
- CBAP or PMI-PBA certification.
- Agile/Scrum, Jira, and Confluence experience.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or related field. Master's is a plus.
