Burtch Works is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join the CRE Originations Technology team in a hybrid role (3 days onsite in Brooklyn, OH area). The candidate will lead requirements analysis, business process modeling, data analysis, and testing strategy for complex CRE lending platforms.
The ideal candidate has 5+ years of BA experience, strong elicitation and stakeholder management skills, and familiarity with Moody's CreditLens.

This engagement sits within the technology organization that delivers and supports the platforms enabling the client's CRE lending operations, partnering closely with Originations, Underwriting, Portfolio Management, Credit Administration, and Technology teams to support the full CRE loan lifecycle.

We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join the Commercial Real Estate (CRE) Originations Technology team in a Hybrid capacity (3 days onsite). The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of Business Analysis experience supporting enterprise technology solutions, strong requirements elicitation and stakeholder management skills, and ideally exposure to commercial lending or Moody's CreditLens. This role will serve as a strategic partner between the CRE business and Technology teams, leading requirements analysis, business process modeling, data analysis, testing strategy, and stakeholder engagement across complex initiatives.
- Lead discovery sessions and requirements workshops with business and technology stakeholders.
- Elicit, analyze, document, and manage functional and non-functional requirements for complex enterprise initiatives.
- Translate business needs into detailed user stories, process flows, business rules, and technical requirements.
- Analyze impacts across multiple applications, integrations, and downstream consumers.
- Ensure requirements align with strategic business objectives and technology roadmaps.
- Document current-state and future-state business processes.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, controls, user experience, and automation.
- Collaborate with architects, developers, product owners, and business SMEs to design effective solutions.
- Significantly contribute to solution design activities to ensure alignment with business requirements and optimized user experiences.
- Support enhancements and modernization initiatives involving Moody's CreditLens and supporting CRE applications.
- Analyze CRE business processes including deal intake, underwriting, approval workflows, covenant management, document management, and portfolio oversight.
- Develop data mapping and source-to-target requirements for integrations across internal and third-party platforms.
- Partner with business teams to prioritize features and capabilities that improve the end-to-end lending experience.
- Develop and support testing strategies for complex technology initiatives.
- Coordinate User Acceptance Testing activities with business stakeholders.
- Validate delivered solutions meet business needs, regulatory requirements, and operational expectations.
- Support release readiness and implementation activities.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of Business Analysis experience supporting enterprise technology solutions.
- Demonstrated experience managing requirements for complex systems involving multiple business stakeholders.
- Strong expertise in requirements elicitation, analysis, and documentation.
- Experience with Agile delivery methodologies and SDLC practices.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Experience creating process models, workflow diagrams, use cases, and business requirements documents.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to influence decisions and drive consensus across business and technology teams.
- Commercial lending or Commercial Real Estate lending experience.
- Experience with Moody's CreditLens or other commercial credit platforms.
- Knowledge of CRE origination, underwriting, approval, and portfolio management processes.
- Experience with data mapping, system integrations, and enterprise data platforms.
- Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, and process modeling tools.
- Understanding of banking regulatory, risk, and compliance requirements.
