Job summary

BD in El Paso, TX is hiring for a Manufacturing Associate responsible for assembly, packaging, labeling of medical devices and pharma products in GMP-compliant environments. You will support multiple processes, ensure raw materials flow, monitor line performance, and maintain cleanroom standards.

You will train and coach associates, participate in 5S and continuous improvement initiatives, and help sustain safety and quality across production.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience with GMP/SOPs a plus (not required).

Responsibilities

• Assemble, package, and label medical devices and pharmaceutical products in GMP, SOPs, and quality standards.
• Operate and support multiple manufacturing processes across different areas based on certification level.
• Lead and coordinate daily production activities for assigned operations to ensure efficient execution of production plans.
• Ensure availability and proper flow of raw materials to support production requirements.
• Monitor and control production line performance, including productivity, quality, and safety metrics.
• Perform and support quality inspections to ensure compliance with product specifications and standards.
• Interpret, deploy, and ensure adherence to manufacturing documentation, including SOPs, batch records, and specifications.
• Review and ensure accuracy and completeness of production documentation in compliance with GMP, GDP, FDA, and ISO standards.
• Verify process parameters and perform basic adjustments within established process windows for equipment and operations.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex production issues, escalating as needed according to established processes.
• Identify and propose process improvements to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety.
• Support implementation of continuous improvement initiatives, including Lean, 5S, and process standardization.
• Maintain a safe work environment and support safety initiatives, including participation in programs such as Employee Safety Observations (ESO).
• Follow all safety requirements and properly use PPE, including lab coats, gloves, hair/beard covers, shoe covers, hearing protection, eye protection, and specialized cleanroom garments as required.
• Provide training, coaching, and guidance to associates; support development of multi-skilled teams.
• Support technicians in autonomous maintenance activities and basic equipment care.
• Handle, segregate, and ensure proper disposition of non-conforming materials.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, equipment, and operations according to 5S and cleanroom standards.
• Communicate risks and issues that may impact product quality, safety, or production performance.
• Provide support across areas as needed to ensure continuity of operations.
• Comply with all company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
