Job summary

WSP USA is seeking an experienced Building Technology Systems - Senior Consultant to join our Northeast Region team. The role focuses on Structured Cabling, Electronic Security, or Audiovisual design across projects in NY, NJ, PA, and MA, with hybrid work and 1–2 days in a regional office.

You will develop designs, coordinate with clients and project teams, and contribute through all project phases from design to construction. Travel to meet client and project needs may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• 5 - 7+ years designing Building Technology Systems.
• Ability to work independently on small to medium projects.
• Experience designing Structured Cabling, Electronic Security, or Audiovisual systems.
• Familiarity with local and national codes (IBC, NFPA, AVIXA).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Revit and AutoCAD experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and coordinate designs for Structured Cabling, Electronic Security, or Audiovisual systems.
• Support projects from inception to completion as part of a team.
• Coordinate with clients to gather system requirements.
• Create design narratives and coordinated construction documents (drawings and CSI specs).
• Participate in project meetings with clients and design teams locally and nationally.
• Review technology submittals and RFIs using industry platforms (Procore, Newforma).
• Conduct site surveys and document existing conditions and progress.
