Job summary

WSP USA is seeking an experienced Building Technology Systems - Senior Consultant to design and integrate structured cabling, electronic security, and audiovisual systems on projects across the Northeast, including New York, Newark, Philadelphia, and Boston.

This hybrid role requires 1–2 days in the regional office with travel as needed. You will collaborate with Lead Consultants and project teams from design through construction close-out, supporting a wide range of sectors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Engineering Technology, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 2-7+ years of experience designing building technology systems within AEC/tech infra.
• Ability to work independently on small to mid projects and support lead consultants on larger ones.
• Demonstrated ability to manage tasks, deliverables, schedules, and client expectations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and coordinate designs for Structured Cabling, Electronic Security, or Audiovisual systems.
• Coordinate with clients to gather and document system requirements.
• Create design narratives and construction documents (Drawings and CSI specs).
• Review submittals and RFIs using industry platforms (Procore, Newforma, ACC).
• Perform site surveys, field observations, and prepare reports on conditions and progress.
• Coordinate integration of building technology with other systems and provide guidance to junior staff.
