Job summary

Newcomb & Boyd, LLP is seeking an experienced Senior Technology Designer to lead the design and coordination of integrated building technology systems for diverse projects in Atlanta. You will guide concepts through construction, coordinating with clients, architects, engineers and contractors, while mentoring junior staff and ensuring quality and technical excellence.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of independent experience designing and managing large, complex building technology systems.
• Proficient in Revit and construction documentation; QA/QC and construction administration experience.
• RCDD preferred or pursuing certification.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technology design from project inception through completion.
• Mentor junior designers by providing guidance on the technical aspects of the design. Conduct QA/QC on the work of others.
• Coordinate and collaborate with our MEP teams, architectural clients, building owners, and construction managers.
• Attend meetings with clients and other stakeholders, and consult on technology systems to obtain project requirements.
• Prepare 2 and 3-dimensional construction documents using Revit, and prepare Division 27 and 28 specifications.
• Perform Contract Administration duties including site visits, submittal review, and contractor assistance.
• Remain current on emerging building technology systems through coordination with vendors and manufacturers, and attendance at conferences, seminars, etc.
