Job summary

NexCore Group, a leading real estate development company focused on healthcare real estate and senior living, seeks a Lead Building Engineer for our Katy, Texas portfolio. You will oversee mechanical operations, coordinate maintenance, and ensure compliance with NexCore standards across facilities.

Expect to manage equipment maintenance, utility systems, and vendor coordination, with on-call support and safety-focused procedures.

Qualifications

• 5+ years general maintenance mechanic experience or equivalent
• Read blueprints and electrical schemes
• Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements
• Experience with HVAC and mechanical systems in commercial properties

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee maintenance and reconditioning of equipment to ensure proper performance
• Verify equipment operation and perform routine onsite checks
• Maintain records of work orders, invoicing and hours worked
• Coordinate vendor and contractor activities to meet building standards and safety requirements
• Provide on-call support for plant operations as needed
• Oversee preventive maintenance procedures for process equipment and utilities
• Work with the Property Manager to ensure maintenance meets NexCore standards
