Qualifications

• 2 years of maintenance/engineering experience and previous experience on a high rise building preferred.
• High school diploma or GED with 4+ years related experience or trade school training.
• Certifications in electrical, mechanical, HVAC and refrigeration systems or related fields.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Ability to interpret instructions and present information clearly.
• Willingness to comply with codes and safety regulations.
• Experience with energy management and building systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex preventive maintenance and corrective repair of buildings, systems, and equipment.
• Monitor building system operations and performance under limited supervision.
• Utilize multiple trade skills including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, roofing.
• Ensure compliance with codes, regulations and company safety directives.
• Inspect fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing for design and environmental conditions.
• Oversee outside contractors and their work (landscaping, HVAC, plumbing, cleaning).
• Maintain records of maintenance and repairs.
• Estimate time/materials and order supplies as needed.
• Operate energy management programs to minimize costs.
• Maintain building lighting systems and perform related repairs.
• Handle welding, carpentry, locksmith tasks as needed.
• Respond promptly to emergencies and coordinate assistance.
