Job summary

ECS Group of Companies (ECS) seeks an experienced Specification Writer III to join the Pacific Building Science + Infrastructure team in Irvine, CA. You will research materials, develop detailed specifications, and ensure alignment with project requirements, codes, and standards.

With 8+ years in architectural specification writing, you will lead technical specification development, support consultants, and stay current on evolving building technology.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of architectural and specification writing experience.
• Experience with AIA MasterFormat 3-part specifications.
• CSI membership and CDT certification are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead research of product materials and manufacturers for projects.
• Write and edit specifications to align with codes, standards, and project requirements.
• Coordinate with project teams and consultants on specification formatting.
