Job summary

The South Dakota Developmental Center in Redfield, SD is hiring a Senior Building Maintenance Worker to perform skilled tasks across electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, painting, and preventive maintenance to ensure safe, efficient operation of the facility.

Qualifications

• Possess knowledge of general building and facility maintenance practices.
• Experience with electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry tasks.
• Ability to read and follow maintenance procedures and reports.
• Effective communication and professional interaction with staff.

Responsibilities

• Perform skilled maintenance in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, painting, and preventive maintenance to ensure safe operation of the facility.
• Inspect and maintain parts, equipment, and structures; complete related reports and records.
• Assist with snow removal and boiler coverage as needed.
• Complete work orders and provide timely, accurate maintenance services.
