James Madison University (JMU) is seeking a General Maintenance Senior Technician for the 1st shift to perform electrical, plumbing, carpentry and fabrication tasks across campus facilities. The role requires independent work, strong communication, and the ability to handle on-call emergency maintenance.

The position is full-time staff, with starting pay of $40,500 and eligibility for overtime under non-exempt status. A valid driver's license is required, and review begins 10/27/2026.

Formación

• Extensive knowledge of building maintenance crafts and systems.
• Ability to perform apprentice-level electrical, carpentry, plumbing repairs.
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with others.

Responsabilidades

• Electrical: install/repair lighting, outlets, and emergency lighting; test circuits.
• Plumbing: troubleshoot/repair fixtures; service water conditioners and valves.
• Carpentry: repair/maintain ceilings, doors, furniture; install shelving.
• Fabrication/maintenance of building fixtures in wood/plastic/etc.
• Rotate on-call coverage for emergency maintenance.
