Job summary

Owens Realty Services is seeking a versatile maintenance technician in Connecticut to inspect and service multiple properties daily, performing preventative maintenance and addressing tenant needs to keep buildings safe and functional.

Candidates should have trades experience, be able to read blueprints, and travel between buildings. A valid driver’s license is required; a maintenance van may be provided.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work independently and in a team.
• Must read and understand blueprints.
• Electrical (low and high voltage).
• Plumbing.
• HVAC (including Air Handlers).
• VAV boxes and controls.
• Temperature control work.
• Pneumatics and control work.
• EMS.
• Motors.
• Lighting.
• Fire alarm system associated in running office.
• Lamp and ballast replacement.
• Painting.
• All general maintenance work is required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect grounds, buildings, garages, parking areas and other critical areas daily.
• Complete periodic inspections of tenant spaces as determined by the manager.
• Inspect company vehicle, equipment, and supplies and report issues.
• Inspect building equipment periodically.
• Maintain building equipment log and ensure information is current.
• Handle tools with care to prolong useful life.
• Keep electrical, mechanical and storage areas clean and organized.
• Report tenant complaints to the property manager promptly.
• Complete work orders and service calls in a timely manner.
• Respond to after-hours or emergency calls within one hour.
• Be polite and respectful to building personnel and tenants.
• Adhere to corporate uniform policy.
• Update the work order system and maintain a daily maintenance log.
• Perform corrective and preventative maintenance as required.
• Assist on-site teams as needed.
