AKAM is seeking a Chief Engineer Building Maintenance in Miami Beach to lead all maintenance operations for a high-rise condominium. The role oversees a maintenance team, coordinates vendors, and drives preventative maintenance programs while coordinating with Property Management and the Board on capital projects and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include staff supervision, safety enforcement, and ensuring timely responses to resident maintenance requests and inspections.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of facilities maintenance or engineering leadership experience.
• Experience managing high-rise building systems and capital projects.
• Strong knowledge of safety, compliance, and life-safety procedures.
• Proven ability to supervise staff, coordinate vendors, and manage preventive maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Direct maintenance operations for a high-rise building to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Supervise maintenance staff, schedule work orders, and supervise after-hours responses.
• Coordinate with vendors, track maintenance programs, and report to Property Manager/Board.
• Maintain records, inspections, and monthly management reports; support capital projects and regulatory compliance.
