Job summary

AKAM in Miami Beach seeks a Chief Engineer to oversee maintenance for a premier high-rise. You will supervise a skilled team, coordinate vendors, and drive preventive maintenance to keep the building safe and efficient.

You will work with Property Management and the Board on inspections, capital projects, and regulatory compliance, producing monthly reports and ensuring safety protocols. Strong leadership and technical depth required.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English and able to communicate with residents, vendors and management.
• Bachelor’s or technical degree with 6–10 years in facilities management.
• Experience supervising maintenance staff in high-rise settings; strong knowledge of building systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance operations for a high-rise building and supervise the maintenance team.
• Coordinate vendors, manage preventive maintenance, and ensure safety compliance.
• Prepare budgets, review inspections, and report to Property Manager/Board.
