Job summary

Interwest Consulting Group seeks experienced ICC Certified Building Inspectors to join the Building and Safety Group. This is an exceptional opportunity to become a key member of our highly qualified, collaborative, and motivated team.

We perform daily field inspections of residential, commercial, and public facility construction projects, with a company vehicle provided for inspections. Salary range is $45.00 - $60.00 per hour with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of local building codes and current construction procedures/technology.
• 3+ years experience interpreting codes in the field with code-compliant solutions.
• Familiarity with CA International Building Codes editions and updates.
• Ability to interact positively with staff, public, contractors, and government entities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong time management, organization, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily field inspections of residential, commercial, and public facility construction projects.
• Explain technical information to varied audiences.
• Review plans and calculations for code compliance.
• Provide interpretations of standards and local ordinances.
• Maintain records of inspections and test results.
• Enter inspection results into permitting software.
