Job summary

Rimkus Consulting Group, Inc is seeking a Civil/Structural Engineer for upstate New York (Buffalo or Syracuse region). The role focuses on determining causes of construction defects, structural failures, and water intrusion in residential, commercial, and industrial properties.

The candidate will travel 2–3 hours daily within Upstate New York and surrounding states, with 50% of time on site inspections and 50% on report writing and project management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil/structural engineering required.
• Master's degree preferred in related field.
• PE license in New York required; other state licensing will be needed.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and analyze residential, commercial, and industrial properties to resolve claims.
• Conduct site evaluations, assess structural failures, and review historical documentation.
• Prepare oral and written reports and provide opinions/testimony in litigated matters.
