Job summary

Thomas Young Group in Dallas is seeking an experienced building envelope consultant to lead projects across commercial, residential and institutional sectors. You'll perform condition assessments, leak investigations, and forensic evaluations, and review drawings for performance and constructability.

You will mentor junior staff, coordinate with owners, architects and contractors, and contribute to business growth while advancing toward leadership roles.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in building envelope or enclosure consulting.
• Strong communication skills and client facing experience.
• Experience across roofing, waterproofing, facades, curtain wall, and air or water barriers.
• Background in investigations, assessments, and remediation work.
• PE or RA license preferred or working toward it.

Job description

This is a building envelope consultancy working across roofing, facades, waterproofing, and exterior systems on commercial, residential, and institutional projects. They work closely with owners and design teams to solve technical challenges around building performance and durability. The environment is collaborative and hands on, with direct access to senior leadership and a clear focus on developing expertise and progressing within the business.

What you'll be doing:

Leading building envelope projects across a range of sectors

What we're looking for:

5+ years of experience in building envelope or enclosure consulting

Comfortable managing multiple projects and supporting junior staff
