Job summary

CBRE in Dallas, TX seeks an Assistant Chief Building Engineer to lead daily operations for a premier Class A office property. This day-shift role oversees preventative maintenance, assigns work, and mentors a multidisciplinary team to keep critical systems running at peak performance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 5–8 years of related experience.
• Shift leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to operate in a hands-on maintenance role with strong problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Manage shift operations and assign work orders to staff and subcontractors.
• Develop and implement a preventative maintenance program for building systems.
• Inspect equipment and ensure operation within normal parameters.
• Lead safety and training programs for the team and contractors.
• Respond to emergencies and coordinate rapid, effective repairs.
