Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Chief Building Engineer Supervisor to lead a facilities maintenance team across multiple buildings. You will plan, coordinate, and manage preventive maintenance, repairs, and upgrades to ensure high performance and reliability of building systems.

The role requires strategic budgeting, staff development, and strong collaboration with senior stakeholders to deliver on CBRE standards and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 5–8 years of job-related experience.
• In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
• Prior shift manager or supervisory experience preferred.
• Meet the physical requirements of the role and operate in a facilities environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee staff training, performance evaluations, and coaching; assist with hiring.
• Coordinate daily activities, set schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff.
• Develop, implement, and communicate preventive maintenance programs and safety manuals.
• Ensure mechanics have information and materials to complete work to standard.
• Estimate material and labor costs for work orders and projects.
• Establish and manage budgets for facilities maintenance.
• Respond to emergencies and escalate as needed.
• Identify new methods to improve department objectives and efficiency.
• Coach staff to deepen expertise across building systems and disciplines.
• Lead by example, aligning with CBRE RISE values and stakeholder expectations.
