Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Chief Building Engineer Supervisor to lead maintenance and repair operations for a portfolio of buildings. The role includes coaching staff, coordinating daily activities, and developing preventive maintenance programs to ensure safety and high-quality work.

The ideal candidate has 5–8 years of related experience, strong technical knowledge of central plants, electrical distribution, and building automation systems, plus advanced Microsoft Office skills.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of job-related experience; prior shift manager or supervisory experience preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and strong organizational skills.
• Advanced problem-solving, budgeting, and crisis management capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Supervise staff training, performance evaluation, coaching, and recruiting.
• Coordinate daily team activities, set schedules, assign tasks, and track deadlines.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs and safety procedures.
• Estimate material and labor costs for work orders, maintenance, and construction projects.
• Manage facility maintenance budgets and respond to emergencies as needed.
• Mentor team members and drive continuous improvement across multi-discipline teams.
