Terracon is seeking a Facilities Department Manager to lead building enclosure consulting, commissioning, testing, and diagnostics. You will oversee project execution, staffing, safety, and financial performance while developing proposals and client relationships.

Ideal candidates have 5 years of related experience (or 9 without a degree) in enclosure systems and diagnostics, with strong leadership and risk-management skills. Master’s degree preferred. Valid driver's license may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline with 5 years’ practice experience or 9 years’ related experience without a degree.
• Experience with building enclosure systems, roofing, waterproofing, exterior wall assemblies, fenestration, façade systems, air and water barriers, and/or structural/materials diagnostics is preferred.
• Experience preparing proposals, scopes of service, technical reports, field observation reports, testing reports, repair recommendations, and client-facing deliverables is preferred.
• Experience managing projects, staff, budgets, schedules, client communication, and quality review processes is preferred.
• Master’s degree or PhD is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history may be required.

Responsabilités

• Lead and support the growth of building enclosure consulting services including roofing, waterproofing and façade systems.
• Prepare, review, and support proposals and cost estimates for Facilities-related services.
• Oversee building enclosure testing services in accordance with ASTM, AAMA, FM, or project-specific requirements.
• Support structural and materials diagnostics services including assessments and development of repair recommendations.
• Collaborate with Office Manager on business planning and staffing.
• Develop and manage staffing plans, recruitment and onboarding.
• Prepare annual business plan for the department.
• Oversee key metrics such as revenue growth, staff utilization, billing and profitability.
• Maintain awareness of project risks and uphold company risk policies.
• Lead safety efforts and promote a safe work environment; ensure adherence to safety practices.
• Drive continuous quality monitoring and improvement across projects and proposals.
