Job summary

Kiewit is seeking an experienced Building Electrical Engineer (mid to senior) to design safe, code-compliant electrical systems for large EPC and Design/Build projects. You will work with architects and engineers across disciplines to deliver complete plant and building systems.

You will evaluate energy codes, perform calculations, develop specifications, and mentor junior staff. This role offers stability with a strong backlog of infrastructure work.

Qualifications

7+ years of non-residential electrical design experience.
Experience with EPC or Design/Build projects desired.
Proficient in Revit and MS Office; SKM/ETAP experience required.
Familiar with NEC, IBC, and energy codes.
Strong communication and ability to mentor others.

Responsibilities

Develop lighting, power, and distribution designs for diverse buildings.
Perform Revit modeling and coordinate with BIM staff.
Run load flow, short-circuit, and voltage drop calculations.
Prepare project electrical specifications and bid reviews.
Lead or mentor junior engineers and review work.
Ensure design quality and constructability.
