You will diagnose complex control issues, provide field recommendations, and mentor junior technicians to ensure high service quality. The role emphasizes safety, customer satisfaction, and opportunities to propose retrofits, upgrades, and add-on work.

Qualifications

• Six years of Commercial Controls troubleshooting experience in HVAC
• Technical diploma or two years’ experience in electronics or mechanical systems
• Ability to install and service electronic control systems and HVAC equipment
• Strong communication skills to represent Johnson Controls on customer sites
• Ability to explain technical information to technical and non-technical people
• Strong writing skills and understanding of software applications
• Knowledge of control theory and building automation systems

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, repair, installation, commissioning of building automation systems
• Provide on-site customer interface to ensure high satisfaction
• Mentor technicians on building automation activities
• Provide field proposals for retrofits and upgrades
• Create sketches, diagrams, and bill of materials
• Install and modify software and graphics
• Communicate with customers before/after visits
• Promote add-on work and upsell opportunities
• Ensure safety standards and train customers on system operations
