Job summary

The Building People in Raleigh, NC is hiring a full-time Senior Building Controls Technician to enhance smart building infrastructure. The position focuses on programming, configuring, and testing Direct Digital Control (DDC) systems. A minimum of 25% travel is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of programming experience in control systems.
• Niagara N4 certification is required.
• Experience with multiple manufacturers of controls is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and engineer control system hardware and software programming.
• Collaborate with the engineering team on software requirements.
• Execute system commissioning and functional testing.
• Help educate lower-level technicians through on-the-job training.

Skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software

Programming skills

Strong analytical skills

Strong troubleshooting skills

Knowledge of DDC Control Theory and Applications

Strong knowledge of common DDC communications protocols

Education

At least 3 years of experience with programming, startup and commissioning of control systems

Niagara N4 certification
