Job summary

The Building People is looking for a full-time Senior Building Controls Technician in San Francisco, California. This role involves programming, configuring, and testing building automation systems, with responsibilities including system design, troubleshooting, and project management. Candidates should have at least 3 years of relevant experience, with a Niagara N4 certification preferred. Qualifications

• Minimum of 25% travel required.
• Experience with multiple manufacturers of controls is a plus.
• Technical knowledge with installation of controls equipment.
• Must be physically able to climb and lift up to 35 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Design and engineer control system hardware and software programming.
• Perform network troubleshooting and repair programming.
• Collaborate with the engineering team on system configuration.
• Maintain accurate project documentation.

Skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software

Programming skills

Strong analytical skills

Strong troubleshooting skills

Knowledge of DDC Control Theory and Applications as related to HVAC equipment

Strong knowledge of common DDC communications protocols

Education

At least 3 years of experience with programming, startup and commissioning of control systems
