Job summary

Johnson Controls seeks a skilled Commercial Controls Technician for on-site work in Roswell, GA. You will perform preventive maintenance, repairs, installations, and commissioning of building control systems, ensuring high customer satisfaction and proper documentation.

You will mentor technicians, coordinate with managers and subcontractors, and provide technical recommendations for upgrades and enhancements. Strong communication and safety leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Six years of commercial controls troubleshooting experience in the HVAC industry.
• Vocational School or associate degree in a technical field, or two years’ experience servicing electronic/mechanical systems.
• Ability to install and/or service electronic control systems and HVAC equipment.
• Effective communication skills to represent Johnson Controls on customer sites.
• Proficiency in explaining technical information to technical and non-technical people.
• Knowledge of control theory and building automation systems.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair complex control system malfunctions across diverse HVAC systems.
• Consult with customers, assess site conditions, and propose retrofits or upgrades.
• Coordinate work to ensure timely, safe, and high-quality service delivery.
• Provide field sketches and data for engineering corrections and drawings.
• Install and modify software and graphics for control systems.
• Communicate with customers during and after service to ensure satisfaction and upsell enhancements.
• Provide safety leadership and training to technicians on site.
• Assist in training for certification of technicians and project team.
