Job summary

McKinstry Essention, LLC in Seattle, WA is seeking a Senior Commissioning Engineer to lead Cx activities across diverse systems, manage the project from start to finish, and finalize reports and manuals. The role requires strong knowledge of mechanical/electrical systems, proficiency with MS Office, and experience reading construction documents.

You will coordinate with owners, management, contractors and Cx team members to deliver quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Minimum proven experience as a commissioning engineer.
• Strong ability to read construction documents and identify issues.
• Advanced knowledge of fire/life safety, plumbing, lighting, and security systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with building automation systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage pre-start, start-up, and test-adjust-balance field activities.
• Lead CX coordination meetings with owner, project team and contractors.
• Develop and manage system training programs.
• Represent McKinstry in CX coordination discussions.
• Provide design and equipment recommendations and assess improvements.
• Communicate CX issues through proper channels promptly.
• Contribute to scope/pricing reviews and client/business development.
• Deliver NCCx, EBCx, and MBCx projects independently.
