Job summary

Performance Validation, Inc. is seeking a Senior Commissioning Engineer to support building delivery from design through occupancy, partnering with a broad range of stakeholders including occupants, maintenance staff, architects, engineers, and contractors.

The role focuses on leading commissioning activities, developing test scripts, coordinating meetings, verifying installations, and documenting findings; travel up to 25% may be required. Safety-sensitive position with background checks.

Qualifications

• BS degree in engineering or related field; extensive experience may substitute.
• At least 5 years of commissioning, building design/construction, or facilities management with emphasis on HVAC and controls.
• Commissioning certification required (CxA/CCB/ASHRAE) or able to obtain within six months.
• PE desirable; LEED accreditation desirable; energy audits/energy modeling experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Consult with client to develop scope and project requirements.
• Develop commissioning specifications and review design/submittals.
• Create commissioning plans and functional test scripts.
• Conduct commissioning coordination meetings.
• Verify system installation and performance; track issues to resolution.
• Document all commissioning activities.
