Job summary

Qualifications

• Licensed professional engineer or architect or certified general contractor in Florida.
• Must meet Miami-Dade County Code requirements for Chief Building Inspector.
• License in Building Code Administrator to be obtained within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Reviews building plans, blueprints, specifications for code compliance.
• Conducts technical field inspections of buildings during construction and use.
• Inspects buildings being raised to verify safety methods and public protection.
• Reviews permits and inspections for Certificates of Occupancy or Completion.
• Prepares reports and coordinates inspections and supervision of plan review.
• Responds to queries regarding building projects and permit issues.
