Job summary

University of California, San Francisco is seeking a qualified applicant to lead projects in programming and integrating networked energy management systems. The position requires strong BAS/OT knowledge, experience with Niagara 4 and related platforms, and the ability to develop reports and dashboards for sustainability

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related area and/or equivalent experience 5‑8 years / training.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Building Automation Systems (BAS), Operational Technology (OT), and control system architectures, including Niagara‑based platforms.
• Demonstrated experience administering and maintaining BAS/OT software environments, including software patching, firmware updates, backups, restores, and cybersecurity best practices.
• Proven ability to monitor, analyze, and troubleshoot complex BAS/OT systems using alarms, trends, logs, and remote access tools.
• Proven ability to program BMS logic.
• Demonstrated experience performing BMS commissioning, QA/QC validation, and verification of sequences of operation and system integrations.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze BAS operational data and develop reports, graphical interfaces, dashboards, or metrics to support goals.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects in programming, designing and integrating networked computer control systems.
• Provide front line system administration for EMS environments and related software.
• Develop EMS design packages and provide training to campus personnel.
