Job summary

Harris Companies, inc seeks a Lead Building Automation System Specialist to manage turn-key projects up to $500,000, executing retrofit and upgrades and guiding as superintendent on large jobs. You’ll design, program, commission, and verify building automation systems while coordinating with project managers and field teams.

Ideal candidates have extensive Building Automation experience, Niagara certification or ability to obtain it within a year, and strong leadership skills to mentor other

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience with Mechanical Systems
• 5 years of Building Automation Experience
• 3 years of Programming experience
• Niagara certified or ability to obtain certification within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Verify system compliance with plans & specifications, change orders, project scope documents/drawings, and approved sequence of operation
• Lead preconstruction activities including coordination of design, sequence of operations, project turnover, and accounting system setup
• Ensure proper installation of components and detailed verification of wiring/system functionality
• Inspect systems and diagnose, test, and analyze performance of components and assemblies
• Design GUI for controlled systems and modify programs to achieve proper operation
• Troubleshoot malfunctions and advise other trades on issues impacting performance
• Assist in project close-out, commissioning, and owner training as appropriate
