Job summary

Siemens in Laurel, MD is seeking a Service Specialist to perform building automation service tasks, respond to emergency service calls, and support with preventive maintenance and project work. You will interact with customers to ensure energy savings and sustainable operation of systems.

Preferred candidates have 3+ years in building automation, experience with BACnet/Modbus/TCP-IP, and are able to travel or work on-call as needed. A valid US driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience maintaining and diagnosing building automation systems.
• Experience with BACnet, Modbus, and TCP/IP networking.
• Proficient with MS Office; able to operate laptops and tablets.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work in varied environments.
• Valid driver's license and US work eligibility without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Execute digitalization and standard service operations strategies.
• Coordinate with Service Sales, Client Service Managers and RAM Digital Service Center.
• Follow safety requirements and complete required training.
• Maintain tools and test equipment; document service tickets.
• Provide system operation training to customers.
• Identify system discrepancies and assist in repairs/upgrades pricing.
• Work overtime and on-call as needed; support after hours as required.
