Job summary

Harris in Blackfoot, Idaho, seeks a Building Automation Lead Installer to install and support advanced building automation and controls on commercial projects. You will follow project plans, ensure safety and quality, and coordinate with project teams to keep installations on track.

You’ll mentor junior installers, assist with testing, verification and commissioning, and help maintain high workmanship standards across the field.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience in electrical, mechanical, controls, or building automation.
• Experience reading blueprints, specifications, schematics and technical documentation.
• Knowledge of electrical installation practices, building codes and industry standards.
• Experience using test equipment such as multimeters and digital analyzers.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Install and support building automation and controls on commercial projects.
• Coordinate with project teams to meet design, safety, and quality expectations.
• Mentor and develop less experienced technicians on site.
