Job summary

Siemens is seeking a Service Specialist to perform assigned tasks on automation systems, supporting customer sites throughout the Greater Lowell region in MA and NH. The role includes service agreements, projects, and on-call service, with a focus on energy efficiency and reliability.

You will collaborate with internal teams, follow safety standards, and complete required training. Strong field mobility, problem-solving, and customer interaction are essential to succeed.

Qualifications

• Electro-mechanical experience and basic PC/software skills.
• 3+ years of experience performing preventive maintenance and diagnostics of automation systems.
• Experience with engineering concepts, programming, startup and checkout, and troubleshooting.
• Able to work in confined spaces and climb ladders; physically capable of lifting up to 75 pounds.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Execute digitalization and standard service operations strategies.
• Collaborate with Service Sales, Client Service Managers, Service Coordinators, and RAM Digital Service Center personnel.
• Follow safety requirements and complete required training as outlined in the path.
• Follow policies and may coordinate with contractors on job sites; maintain tools and test equipment.
• Support after hours during on-call rotation and perform repairs on automation systems as directed.
• Complete service ticket documentation and maintain preventive maintenance schedules.
• Provide instructions to customer personnel on proper system operations and assist with training.
• Identify system discrepancies and report upgrade opportunities; assist in pricing repairs and upgrades.
• Develop strong relationships with customers, identify needs, and resolve issues; occasional overtime and minimal overnight travel.
• Use Siemens technology and devices, work remotely where applicable, and quote deficiency repairs.
