Daikin Applied is seeking a Building Automation and Controls Manager in Marietta, GA onsite. Lead business development, project development, and engineering efforts to scale the controls organization across districts.

Manage resources, coach staff, and coordinate with vendors to secure optimal products and pricing. Your role includes guiding engineering and project teams to deliver compliant, cost-effective control solutions while driving growth and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related experience or equivalent work experience.
• 6-8+ years commercial/industrial HVAC and controls experience.
• 4+ years people management experience.
• Niagara 4 TCP.
• Familiarity with building automation protocols (BACnet, Modbus, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of commercial/industrial HVAC systems.

Responsibilities

• Business Development: listen to the controls needs of the District and recommend resources for growth.
• Communicate resources and progress regularly to the District and Region.
• Provide resources and support to overcome growth challenges at District Service offices.
• Project Development: provide control project development and service sales support; prepare estimates and quotes.
• Coordinate interfaces with project management and operations to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Coach and mentor Controls Project Developers to meet Daikin/industry standards.
• Direct Engineering to develop products and solutions for district needs; mentor engineering staff.
• Coordinate vendor relationships to ensure best products and pricing.
• Identify internal/external training opportunities for Controls team; promote continuous improvement.
