Job summary

Baker Group is seeking an experienced Automation Technician with strong PLC and DDC expertise to support building automation and control systems. You will collaborate with design and operation engineers, perform start-ups, and mentor junior technicians on medium to large projects.

The role requires reading ladder logic, structured text, and function block programming, plus hands-on experience with HVAC control systems and networked devices. On-site work with occasional field visits is expected.

Qualifications

Four (4) to seven (7) years of automation related field experience.
Associate degree in electronic, technology, or automation related field or equivalent on the job.
Experience reading and interpreting SOO and programming control systems.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with design, operations engineers, purchasers and staff.
Start-up microprocessor-based control components including PLC and DDC controllers.
Interpret SOO and apply to program logic.
Read and write ladder logic, structured text, and function block programming.
Mentor Automation Technician I and II, and oversee projects.
Lead medium to large projects and coordinate teams.
Map control points into supervisory controllers and graphics.
Create automation system graphics and dashboards.
