Qualifications

• 5+ years of P&C commercial carrier underwriting experience required.
• Builders Risk underwriting experience preferred.
• Demonstrated success in developing and maintaining solid relationships with internal and external business partners.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Ability to think analytically about business problems, make recommendations and propose solutions.
• High energy self-starter with resilience and entrepreneurial spirit.
• Solid time, organizational, and desk management skills.

• Ability to travel approximately 25% - 35%.

Responsibilities

• Build exceptionally strong and lasting relationships with agents and brokers to make Hartford the carrier of choice.
• Quarterback the sales and underwriting process from strategic planning to operational execution.
• Develop cross-sell and up-sell opportunities across the team.
• Manage account stewardship and travel up to 25-35% as needed.
