Job summary

ALTEN Technology USA is seeking a Senior Build Systems & Software Robustification Engineer to lead the build system and toolchain for a large-scale C++ robotics platform. You will ensure reliability, reproducibility, and traceability across the development lifecycle, with strong focus on modern C++ build systems, CI/CD automation, and software quality tooling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Extensive experience designing and maintaining C++ build systems using CMake.
• Strong hands-on experience with static analysis tools, ASan, TSan, UBSan deployment and troubleshooting.
• Deep understanding of reproducible and hermetic build methodologies and build environment isolation.
• Proven experience building modern CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and own the build system architecture and toolchain configuration for a large-scale C++ robotics software stack.
• Develop and maintain robust build infrastructure using modern build technologies such as CMake and/or Bazel.
• Establish and manage software quality tooling with static analysis and sanitizers.
• Enable and maintain reproducible production builds and reconstructable test environments.
• Improve CI/CD effectiveness, build reliability, and developer feedback loops.
• Collaborate with software, robotics, infrastructure, and systems engineering teams on engineering best practices.
