Job summary

Everpure, an established tech company in Santa Clara, seeks a Senior Software Engineer to advance build infrastructure at scale. You will design and improve build orchestration systems and tooling, enabling fast, reliable, and reproducible builds across local development and CI pipelines.

You will own containerized build environments, optimize large-scale C/C++ builds, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to align tooling with product delivery needs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience in infrastructure, developer productivity, build systems, or platform engineering.
• Strong understanding of modern build systems, toolchains, dependency management, and reproducible builds.
• Hands-on experience with Make, CMake, or custom in-house build orchestration tools.
• Experience with large-scale C/C++ builds and containerized builds.
• Familiarity with Linux-based development, Docker, and maintaining build images.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain build orchestration systems and tooling.
• Drive improvements to build speed, reliability, and debuggability across local and CI workflows.
• Own and evolve containerized build environments with reproducible images.
• Work on large-scale C/C++ build challenges and optimization.
• Diagnose and resolve build-graph correctness issues and flaky builds.
• Collaborate to shape roadmap for build systems and developer tooling.
• Establish operational excellence practices for build infrastructure and observability.
• Use engineering metrics to track build performance and developer experience.
• Mentor engineers and foster a culture of ownership and high standards.
• Work primarily in the Santa Clara office in accordance with company policy.
