Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat Corp. seeks engineers to contribute to the design, construction, and maintenance of submarines for the U.S. Navy. The role focuses on integrating the COLUMBIA Class design within BST, coordinating with DBS, Detail Planning, and Operations to meet event and test requirements.

Ideal candidates are self-starters with strong communication and problem‑solving skills, capable of independent work and effective collaboration across teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science or higher in mechanical, civil, chemical, aerospace, marine, or electrical or related engineering discipline.
• 5+ years of post graduate engineering experience.
• Understanding EB’s tools including Teamcenter, Electronic Desktop, Artemis, Power BI, and others is preferred.
• Experience with ship design and trades supervision is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with organizations supporting the assigned area of the boat.
• Reduce liability generation and rework related to unsequenced work ahead key event execution.
• Support Project Teams, Ship Managers and Ship Master Planners by increasing work throughput and closeouts.
